15 Photos to Inspire a Trip to the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival

This year’s Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival runs February 28 – May 28, 2018. The festival is sure to be full of live music, outdoor kitchens, exclusive merchandise, and of course– all the flowers and topiaries!

As much as I love visiting during the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, the Flower & Garden Festival definitely has all other events beat in terms of how beautiful the park looks. Even without snacking around the outdoor kitchens or taking part in a special seminar, I could spend days walking around the park just looking at the stunning floral decorations.

On the fence about when your next visit to Epcot will be? Check out these photos and start planning your visit to the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival today!

If you’ve been to Epcot during any of the annual festivals, then you’ve surely seen the flowerbeds in front of Spaceship Earth decorated for the occasion. The Flower & Garden decorations however might just be my favorite. These topiaries still include classic Disney characters but they’re surrounded by brightly colored flowers that really pop against the usual greys and beiges seen in this area of Future World.

For the best overall view of Flower & Garden Festival, head towards World Showcase but remain in Future World just across from the Imagination pavilion. It’s nearly impossible to fit this whole scene in one photo (the floating flower beds extend towards the entrance to World Showcase) but it’s really an awe-inspiring view. This entire area is usually filled in with only regular grass, and it really comes to life during the festival when it’s adorned with all of these brightly colored flowers. (Seeing the monorail go by and the Imagination Pavilion’s glass pyramids don’t hurt the view either).

See what I mean about it being impossible to fit on one photo? As much as I love these photos, they really don’t do the festival justice especially this garden in Future World that wraps around this part of the lagoon. (I guess you’ll just have to go in person and see it for yourself! 😉 )

Sometimes all the inspiration you need is in the details. As you near World Showcase, where more of the topiaries are, you’ll be able to walk right alongside most of the displays and gardens. Don’t just breeze past however, take a moment to appreciate all of the details. There are some really beautiful flowers in there that you won’t catch from just passing by.

World Showcase is where you’ll want to spend most of your time during the festival. With all of the topiaries (and outdoor kitchens!) there is quite a bit to see in each of the countries.

The United Kingdom pavilion is one of my favorite places to explore the Flower & Garden Festival. This pavilion features gardens based on Twinings Tea, and even a garden themed around the different flowers described in Shakespeare’s plays and sonnets. For a more in depth look at the tea garden, consider taking a guided tour of the garden (just check your festival passport or times guide for availability).

You can find this Beauty and the Beast topiary in France, along with specialty variety of the famous grey goose slush for the festival, eclairs, croissants, and more tasty sweets.

La Vie en Rose Frozen Slush: Grey Goose Vodka Orange, St. Germain Liquor, White and Red Cranberry Juice. Find this at the Fleur de Lys outdoor kitchen in France.

Italy features this Lady and the Tramp topiary. Just look at the way Disney’s horticulture team used the moss to create Lady’s look!

We can’t talk about Flower & Garden Festival without pointing out some of the outdoor kitchens. Our favorite snack at the festival is Frushi! This snack is an all-fruit version of sushi, and it’s delicious! Frushi is made with fresh pineapple, strawberry and melon rolled with raspberry coconut rice, sprinkled with toasted coconut and with whipped Cream on the side. You can find it at the Hanami outdoor kitchen in Japan.

Woody hangs out in the American Adventure pavilion, right by the Smokehouse outdoor kitchen. The Smokehouse always has interesting brews and brisket dishes and is worth checking out to add a little taste of bbq to your trip around World Showcase.

Catch this Bambi topiary near Canada on your way in or out of World Showcase. (How adorable do all of these characters look?!)

There are lots of PhotoPass photographers ready to take your picture all around World Showcase during Flower & Garden Festival. If you’ve been on the fence about purchasing Memory Maker, this could be the best time to do so!
